Recessed Ceiling Light For An Elegant And Subtle Look

There is an endless range to choose from when it comes to selecting a recessed ceiling light. The lighting of a room helps to enhance its style and usefulness.  A recessed light fixture renders a new look to every room by highlighting detail. It helps in creating desirable spotlights which is a simple way to make the smaller corners look deep, to draw attention to wall textures and accentuate the features of a room.  It can be applied anywhere in the house to provide subtle luminescence. It can be used in the entrance, foyer or hallway or to accentuate a spiraling stairway.

Recessed lights are also called pot lights or can lights depending on whether the lights are fixed in a pot or a can like container. These fixtures use floodlights or spotlight features. Both the sources have reflectors. The convenience of these lights is that it can be directly embedded in ceilings and are hassle-free due to the absence of hanging cords or switches. The fixtures are indiscernible as the entire unit along with wiring is concealed within the ceiling joist so all that can be seen is bright light focused on a curio or a painting. The brightness of the lights can be altered to change the look of the room.

A wide range of commercial lighting is available in the market today. The different types available are high bay and low bay lighting fixtures, flood lighting, street lights and lighted advert signs.  High bay lighting fixtures are typically used in areas having a high ceiling i.e. above 15 feet.  Factories, warehouses, gyms, garages and shops use this type of lighting. It uses a technology called High Intensity Discharge or HID. These kinds of lamps have the maximum amount of lighting to cover large areas.  Low bay lighting fixtures are used in churches and warehouses where the ceiling height ranges from 15-20 feet. It gives maximum lighting sans the glare. Flood lighting also uses HID technology. These lights need to be very bright in order to cover large areas like loading areas or football fields. It can be mounted on buildings, poles or even on the ground and pricewise is quite cheap.

Street lights are fixed on tall poles and are used to provide a broad stretch of light at night. It can be found on streets, parking lots or broadways.  These lights are attached on poles with a height varying from 6-13 feet. These lights also need to be tough enough to withstand every weather condition and are programmed to switch off during day time. Lighted advert signs are used to illuminate the advertisement board and make it conspicuous. These lights serve to attract attention by the use of colored neon lights which may even flicker or change color.
